Where is your business located?

My jewelry studio is located in the Bucktown neighborhood 2 miles west of downtown Chicago.

Is your jewelry handmade?

Yes! I lovingly design and handcraft each piece from start to finish.

Who do you design for?

I design jewelry for every woman to wear, love and feel completely comfortable in. Rach B Jewelry exudes a casually luxe look that truly transcends all personal styles with incredible versatility for day to night and everything in between.

Studio

Do you have a studio I can visit?

Yes, would love to have you by! If you are in Chicago, I love to host customers by appointment in my Bucktown neighborhood studio. You can also find me at seasonal gift shows in Chicago and Austin, TX.

Can I shop in your studio?

Yes, you can shop, try-on, and customize with me for a personalized shopping experience.

Customize, Size & Fitting

Do you offer custom jewelry requests?

Yes, happy to! I will accommodate custom requests to my designs whenever possible. Email me at Rachel@ShopRachB.comwith your request. Additional charges may apply and all sales involving custom work are final.

How do I know what necklace length I want?

I suggest trying on another necklace you own to see where you may prefer the necklace to land. My shorter necklaces have a 2” extender on them to offer some flexibility when layering. I can also virtually try-on necklaces at different lengths for you and guide you through what you may be looking for.

Can I try on in the studio?

Yes! The jewelry studio is by appointment - come on in and try on to see what best suits you to fill a need or desire you are looking to fill. This is where I love to help you achieve what you are looking for and per-fect it on the spot with my tools and materials.

I can’t make it into the studio, how else can you help?

Not a problem! We can do all of the above via facetime, text or email with photos.

Bridal Jewelry

Do you make bridal jewelry?

Yes, I absolutely love to! I designed the ready-to-wear cubic zirconia and rhinestone jewelry collections for the bride, bridal party and other special occasions in mind. They are the most “Rach B” any sparkle could be. Nothing too costume, but rather a unique and modern sparkle adorned on the geometric silhouettes throughout Rach B’s many collections.

Can you customize bridal jewelry?

Yes! I most commonly design one-of-a-kind for the bride’s special day to make it absolute perfection. The bride and I start with discussing inspiration, consider all of the desired looks elements (like the shade of white, embellishments, silhouette, etc) and I offer guidance and suggestions. The design comes to fruition usually after 2-3 rounds of finessing.

Can you design jewelry for the bridal party?

Yes! Considering the bridesmaids dress silhouettes, personality, preferences and colorway, we can design jewelry for the entire bridal party, mothers, readers and flower girls. It’s a super thoughtful bridal party gift that the ladies will treasure long after the special day.

How do you start the process?

The bride and I connect to initiate the conversation via phone, facetime, email or in-person and discover the potential direction. During this in-person or virtual appointment with me, the fun process begins! The sketching starts as I sift through trays of beautiful components and inspiration ensues. I will guide you and offer advice for a memorable personalized shopping experience. I work with many of my clients via FaceTime, text and email and am honored to establish immense trust with my clients all over the country.

How much time is needed to design the bridal jewelry?

As soon as the dresses and ensembles are picked, I am ready when you are! I have designed a pair of earrings one year before the day and as close to two weeks away (cutting it close, but it’s one of those details that commonly sneaks up on the bride!) No worries though, since I design and make everything in-studio, you are in good hands and it is possible without delay.

What is the price point of this type of jewelry?

I do not charge wedding industry prices. The price range is similar as the rest of the collections, on average $30-$200, depending on materials.

Gemstones & Metals

Do your jewelry pieces vary from what I ordered online?

Each piece is created using the finest materials and there may be slight variations due to the handmade nature of the jewelry. I strive to fulfill as close to what you ordered so you know exactly what is coming your way.

What kind of gemstones do you use?

I design with beautiful semi-precious and precious stones that have magnificent color, cuts and facets from all over the world.

Jewelry Care

How to clean gold jewelry?

Give your gold jewelry a polish every now and then with a jewelry tarnish cloth. I do not recommend liquid cleaning dips - they are extremely harsh on metals and stones.

How to clean silver jewelry?

Same as you would clean gold jewelry. A few regular swipes of a polishing will take away oils, dirt, tarnish and give your jewelry more brilliance and a longer life.

How to protect jewelry from tarnishing?

Storing your jewelry in the signature Rach B tin box it came with will keep the piece(s) less exposed to air pollutants that can cause oxidation over time. Bonus - it will look like you have mad organizing skills!

How should I travel with jewelry?

Keeping your jewelry stored in the Rach B Jewelry tin box will keep your jewelry safe and sound while traveling from getting lost, tangled or bent out of shape. We’ve all been there! Here is a blog post that you might find helpful! Jewelry 101: How to Care for Your Jewelry

Repairs

My Rach B Jewelry broke, do you offer repairs?

I pride myself on my skilled craftsmanship, but understand jewelry can sometimes break. Please send me an email at Rachel@ShopRachB.com explaining the situation. If I am able to help you, you can ship your jewelry to the studio and I will give your piece some TLC and send it back to you. Charges may apply.

I lost an earring. Can you make me a match?

Almost always, yes! I can make you a match so you don’t have to purchase another pair. It is dependent on if I still have the identical materials and stones.

Shipping

Do you charge a shipping fee?

Yes, there is a $7 USPS Priority shipping fee for all orders under $100. Priority shipping is automatically waived in checkout for order over $100.

Can I expedite my order?

Yes, you can choose to upgrade to USPS next day shipping for $20. If you select the expedited shipping option, your order will be mailed out the same or next day.

Where do you ship domestically?

Rach B Jewelry ships to the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.

How long will it be until I get my order?

Orders are mailed out within 1-3 business days through USPS. All orders are sent Priority with tracking, no signature required upon delivery. Make sure your shipping location is secure, as Rach B is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. When your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email with a tracking number and order details. Tracking may take up to 24-48 hours to go live within the usps.com website.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. There is a $35 international shipping charge. International shipping times vary and can take about 14-20 business days to deliver around the world, and can occasionally take longer depending on delays and customs in your home country. Once your international order has shipped, it is completely out of Rach B Jewelry’s hands and do not assume responsibility for an order missing in transit. USPS tracking codes do not apply to worldwide shipping. Please note some countries charge additional customs fees on incoming packages at random. If you are selected to pay a customs fee, I apologize for the frustrating extra expense. Unfortunately, it is out of my control and Rach B Jewelry is not responsible for any part of this extra charge.

Payments, Returns & Exchanges

What payment methods do you accept?

Rach B Jewelry accepts all major credits and all online transactions are run securely through Stripe. You will receive a confirmation of your order via email with the total dollar amount. In person transactions can be made through Square, Venmo, or Zelle.

Is there sales tax?

Sales tax will be added for all orders shipped within Illinois.

Exchange & Returns

I want you to love your Rach B Jewelry. If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase, you can send it back for an exchange or a refund within 10 days of receipt. Monogram pieces and international sales are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange in addition to any other customized items. Please contact me prior to returning. For your protection, please pack your return item securely with an insured trackable carrier and retain your receipt. Rach B Jewelry is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.

I won a raffle contest? How do I claim?

Yay, congratulations! Email Rachel@ShopRachB.com to redeem your custom code to use online. Credit must be used in one transaction within 15 days of announcement. Redeemable on regular priced items that are available online only. No returns or exchanges. Custom, fine, metal-smithed, vintage, one-of-a-kind pieces and rings are excluded as options to redeem. Winner must pay balance including taxes and shipping fees.

What is your privacy policy?

Your information will absolutely not be sold, shared, or traded that you supplied Rach B with a third party from transactions on this website or signing up for the guest list.
